"2005 Scholarship Winners Announced"
To Whom It May Concern:
We the members of the Dekalb Poultry & Egg Association are accepting donations
for a scholarship to be offered to a student of Dekalb County Schools. This scholarship
will be offered to the low “B” to mid to low “C” student that otherwise would
not be offered a scholarship.
The primary requirement will be that their parents be in the poultry
production business by being a grower of either broilers, pullets, or breeder
hens. The only other requirement will be their grade point average. While we
understand that many students excel in academics, we want to give that student
that would not get a scholarship because of their GPA, and therefore help them
get a college education. These monies will be collected and hopefully will raise
enough interest to supply at least one and maybe even more scholarships each year.
It is our hope that you would be willing to help us accomplish this task. Any contribution will be added to the others and hopefully be able to offer
some
type of scholarship this year. It is our hope that this that will not only help
the children of Dekalb county, but it will help this county become a support to
the future, and in doing so, help the poultry and egg business as well. It is
simply an investment in the future as well as now.
Thank you for your time and interest in this matter. We hope that we can
be of a help to the youth of Dekalb County.
